California & See's

I dated a California man, for almost a year. I have a good friend who's a California native. And then, there's a friend who told me that California has great chocolates and it's called See's.

See's! Everytime I think about California now, I will always think about See's. Chocolates--dark, white, with nuts, name it. They have it all. Now, I want a taste of it.

Frankly, I don't give a damn if I get to the US in this lifetime. But I give a BIG damn if I get a good taste of See's and the best chocolates in the world, for that matter.

I don't even have a good reason for that.

Am not a big fan of chocolates. I am just fortunate to have friends from all over who sees it fit that I deserve to get a taste of chocolates that they're so proud of.

My aunt recently flew in for a vacation and she brought a bag of See's, only because I requested for it.

I don't even expect to get See's at this point. I remember requesting for it from my friends in California, but then, nobody has even bothered to bring in a piece.

Maybe it's not really good? I don't care if it is. It took me almost a year to get it. It's time.

Ok, aside from the common chocolates (My fave is Lindt.) that you can find in any grocery store here in  Metro Manila, I've tried several others---Brazilian, Belgian, UK and Swedish.

And the winner is...SWEDISH dark chocolates!!!

Of course, I have yet to try See's.

I'll let you know.
